• The XenCraft tutorial "Hitchhiker's Guide to Going Global" is being offered at IWIPS 2004 in Vancouver, BC, July 8, 2004.
• Tex is presenting two sessions at Progress Exchange 2004:
  "From 26 to 96,000 Characters in 60 Minutes" and "Cutting the Fat out of Translation Costs".
• 25th Internationalization and Unicode Conference in Washington, DC March 31-April 2, 2004. Tex will be presenting:
  "Web Internationalization: Standards and Practice" with Yves Savourel,
  "Using Jujitsu to Globalize Web Applications", with Bill Kirtz of ABLE Innovations, and the

• Introduction to WizTOM for PROGRESS (pdf, 1 Mb) is presented by Tex and Bill Kirtz to the New England Progress User's Group, Sept. 22, 2003.
• "The Last Word: Who Speaks for the Localization Industry?" by Tex is published in #57 Volume 14 Issue 5 of MultiLingual Computing & Technology.
  The article received a lot of attention and was republished or summarized in other magazines. See for example, the Puget Sound Chapter Newletter of the Society of Technical Communication "Sound Off"
• XenCraft and ABLE Innovations announce a partnership on 2003-05-01 to provide globalization solutions for Progress-based applications. See the XenCraft press release.

• "Preventing text corruption on the world wide web" is updated for the world wide Progress Exchange 2003 Conference in Boston, USA April 13-16, 2003. (track c, session BP0650)
• "The Challenges of Defining Locale Structures" by Tex is published in #55 Volume 14 Issue 3 of MultiLingual Computing & Technology.
• XenCraft's "March 27, 2003 Localization Project Management Workshop" will be colocated with the IUC23 Internationalization and Unicode conference in Prague.
• 23rd Internationalization and Unicode Conference in Prague, Czech Republic, March 23-27, 2003.
  Tex's presentations include: the 1/2 day tutorial: "Web Internationalization: Standards and Practice", and papers: "What is Wrong with Locales?", and "My Shoe Size Web Page Fetish, or How Companies are Losing Money on the Internet".
  Tex will also be moderating 2 panels: a new feature of the conference, the "Exhibitors Panel" and a longstanding feature of the conference the "Web Internationalization Panel".
• ROI- Cost Effective Localization is a XenCraft workshop presented in Foster City, CA, March 3-6, 2003 for the LISA Global Strategies Summit.
• XenCraft announced that beta testing of its initial XenWord product began 2003-01-05.
• Localization Project Management is a XenCraft workshop presented in Shanghai, China Dec. 4-6, 2002 at the LISA Executive Roundtable.
• "The Last Word: Who Gets 'The Last Word'?" by Tex is published in the December 2002 issue (#52 Vol 13 Issue 8) of MultiLingual Computing & Technology.
• Tex has both an article "Who Speaks for the Little Guys" (page 15) and profile (page 28) in the December 2002 issue of Localization Focus put out by the Localization Research Centre.
• XenCraft is hosting the W3C I18n Core Task Force at its headquarters in Lexington, MA November 25-26, 2002.
• Tex will also be speaking on Unicode, Internationalizing UI, and "Preventing text corruption on the world wide web" at the Progress Software U.K Education Forum in Bristol U.K September 30 and October 1, 2002.
• Tex Texin will be presenting at the 22nd international Unicode Conference in September in San Jose. In addition to providing a tutorial on Web Internationalization: Standards and Practice jointly with Yves Savourel, Tex will be delivering a presentation on What's wrong with locales? and moderating a panel on Locales.
