March 2004 - The Unicode Consortium announced the winner of the
Unicode Bulldog Award
is Tex Texin.
"...participated in the definition of the Unicode Standard for many years in the 90's and over this last ten
years has contributed in the W3C arena to the internationalization of web protocols, focusing on the character
model, web services, and outreach and guidelines. He has been a major contributor to Unicode conferences, as a
presenter and as a key contributor to the conference review board, where he has been taking the lead in
developing the call for papers and the press releases, in addition to his valuable input to the themes and
programs of the conference."
